Belle Plaine Boy's XC SICL Champions, Girl's place 4th

Last night at the SICL Conference Cross Country Meet at Lynnville-Sully the Belle Plaine Boys won the conference title with an overall team score of 37 points.  BGM came in 2nd with 67 points followed by Lynnville-Sully, Sigourney, and Montezuma.  North Mahaska, HLV, Keota, and English Valley also had runners but did not post points as a team.  Belle Plaine's Orie Brown was the overall conference champion with a time of 18:04.  Also finishing in the top 10 for the Plainsmen were Braden Parr, Robert Brown, and Jacob Ehlen.  Just out of the top 10 were Brandt DeMeulanaere and Lane Bachelder in 11th and 12th and Matt Mengler and Will Mengler rounded out the Plainsmen lineup finishing 22nd and 33rd.  Congratulations to Head Coach Mark Tegeler, Assistant Coach Clara Baily-Hugill, and the entire squad for a great meet.

The Belle Plaine Girl's XC team also ran at the SICL Meet finishing in 4th place with 140 points.  Lynnville-Sully won the girls meet with 26 points followed by North Mahaska and English Valley.  Scoring the Plainsmen were Brialy Carlson- 15th, Justice Yilek- 17th, Taylor Ahrens- 33rd, Katie Rich- 37th, Cailtyn Kithcart- 38th, Emilee Bean- 43rd, Rachel Blink- 50th, and Madison Yilek- 53rd.

Both the Girl's and Boy's Cross Country teams will run in the District Meet at Jesup on October 24th.
